Hottest spring on record

The National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) released its May report stating that the 2012 was the "warmest spring, warmest year-to-date, and warmest 12-month period the nation has experienced since record keeping began in 1895."

Here's a graphic from the report showing temperatures for March-May.

Just looking at the Hudson Valley, the data for Albany and New York City show the following:


 Here are the temperature graphs for Albany and Central Park (dark red line is 2012).
