What's this?

Neat picture from NASA...

So what is it?  It was taken from Messenger, a spacecraft studying Mercury right now.  That binary object in the lower left area is the Earth and Moon shining with reflected sunlight.  Takes my breath away.  That's us, all of us.  Surrounded by the black, pitiless void of space.
