I would like to report that the locals told me this crater was created by the hoof of Mohamed's horse as he descended to earth from his trip to the moon. Mohamed was looking for a place to establish Mecca and as his horse's hoof touched earth; a dog barked and the frightened horse took off. He eventually landed in the Arabian Peninsula thus creating Mecca in it's current location.
